As an independent initiative without public funding, Orbis Musicus is run without external subsidy.
For 2026, we are especially grateful to be able to offer these bursaries, made possible through the generosity of our sponsors. Their support allows us to open the course to talented musicians who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend.

Tim Wright Fine Violins is a specialist violin dealership based in Edinburgh and London, working closely with musicians at every stage of their development. Founded and run by musicians, the business is shaped by a deep understanding of sound, performance, and the individual needs of each player.
With a carefully curated selection of fine antique and contemporary instruments and bows, the team is known for its thoughtful and collaborative approach to matching musicians with instruments. Alongside sales, the workshop offers expertise in restoration, valuation, and long-term instrument care, building lasting relationships with players as their needs evolve.
